Bitters!
The essential ingredient of cocktails!
The use of Bitters is very important for a good cocktail. In 1793 the pharmacist Antoine Amedie Peychaud introduced bitters to the market. Bitters helped with diseases and so they began to be used in the pharmaceutical sector. In addition to medicinal use, however, Antoine Amedie Peychaud also used them in combination with cognac as a welcome for his customers. This gave a more complex and special flavor to the cognac.
➢ But what exactly are Bitters?
They are bitter aromatic drops, used to give aroma to the
cocktail.
➢ How are they made?
A distillate (whiskey, rum, gin, etc.) is used as a base, in which
spices and herbs are infused to give this “bitterness”, but also the
key ingredient that will give all the aroma and flavor.
➢ What is the result?
A liquid, where it allows you to give a completely different one with 2-3 drops
character in the cocktail.
With a very long shelf life and a variety of flavors, Fee Brothers can even become the “shelf” of spices in front of your bar. Many years have passed since the small “shop” opened in 1863. Now the 4th generation of the Fee family is looking ahead and positively. The care that the brothers give to their product and the interest in their customers, are the main pillars that drive the company forward.
