Nikka Whisky

The Japanese art that goes by the name of Nikka whiskey is the “child” of Masataka Taketsuru, the first person to create Japanese whiskey. With extensive experience in the distillation of Scottish malt, in 1933 he opened his own distillery in order to create his own premium Japanese whisky.

Today, Japanese Nikka whiskeys have 2 distilleries, one in Hokkaido (Yoici Distillery) and one in Miyagi (Miyagikyo/Sendai Distillery). Yoichi is the last distillery to use coal-fired heating in Japan, which helps to preserve the traditional character of the distillery. On the other hand, Miyagikyo produces whiskey that is lighter and fruitier, similar to those of the Scottish Lowlands. It is noteworthy that here they mix malt whiskey with grain whiskey, a process that very few distilleries in Scotland do.

The latest creation of Japanese Nikka whiskey, the Nikka Days. A premium whiskey with notes of white flowers, citrus, caramel and vanilla flavor. In a large percentage it contains grain whiskey, and in a smaller malt. The result is a smooth, rich and fruity profile, ideal for those who prefer light easy-to-drink whiskey, ideal for drinking in cocktails, or even plain.

An aged blended whiskey with a rich aroma and soft peat notes. Tasting it we strongly recognize the aroma of aged sherry barrels, with a slight sweetness. One of the most classic Japanese whiskeys, and best sellers since it was launched in 1962 in Japan. With whiskey from both Nikka distilleries (Yoichi – Miyagikyo), we have a premium Japanese blend, very well balanced.

NIKKA TAILORED YEAR WHISKY

A unique premium whiskey with a “vibrant” taste of dark chocolate aromas and light bitter notes. On the one hand, barley malt expands earthy notes, while on the other hand, fresh fruit is reminiscent of a rich harvest with floral notes. The majority of it contains malt whiskey from Nikka’s two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo.

This iconic Japanese blended whiskey, “The Nikka Tailored“, is a creation of the know-how and skills of Nikka master blenders.

TAKETSURU PURE MALT WHISKY

It harmoniously combines the strong character of the Yoichi distillery, with smoky and salty elements, and the elegance of the Miyagikyo distillery. At the end, the intensity of burnt oak strongly reminds us of the character of Japanese malt.

With years of experience, they have managed to create something pioneering, a Japanese premium vodka. Tastefully we have the soft taste of corn combined with the delicacy of barley, which are distilled in a continuous Coffey Still distiller thus creating an excellent quality vodka. The aromas vary, with notes of cashews, mint and raspberry in combination with dried fruits and spices playing a dominant role.

NIKKA COFFEY GIN​​

Japanese gin is a rich spirit full of tensions. In addition to traditional herbs, its amazing aromatic complexity is based on the explosion of Japanese citrus fruits, such as Yuzu, Kabosu and Amanatsu, but also on the freshness of apples. Green tea and Japanese Sancho pepper complete the rest of its elements, in a completely different and extremely interesting taste experience.

A pioneering, premium botanical gin, with the distillation process in Coffey Still, brings out all the aromas and flavors from the Japanese tradition.

The premium Nikka Coffey Malt whiskey, is the result of a unique distillation process in a 100% malt bottling! At the Miyagikyo distillery of Japanese Nikka whiskey, there are two Coffey stills (distillers) to create grain whiskey. However, the distillation of malt in a continuous distiller (coffey) is quite special and unique.

NIKKA COFFEY GRAIN WHISKY

A Japanese grain whiskey, which is distilled mainly from corn in a continuous distiller (Coffey still). The ripe sweet notes of dried fruit, imparted by the barrel, combined with the soft texture and tropical fruits create a premium aged whiskey ideal to drink plain. At Miyagikyo Distillery, the two large Coffey distillers help create smooth whiskeys, with intense fruit notes. Aged Nikka Coffey Grain whiskey is one of them, while it has a very special character.

MIYAGIKYO SINGLE MALT WHISKY

A Japanese single malt whiskey from the Miyagikyo distillery. A refined premium malt whiskey is produced there with a recognizable fruity and floral freshness. With an emphasis on Sherry barrels, the aging process gives depth to the natural charm of this aged single malt.

The location of the distillery is ideal since it is located near the Miyagi Valley, an area in the north of Japan’s Honshu island that is known for its clean atmosphere and the quality of its natural springs.

YOICHI SINGLE MALT WHISKY

A traditional premium single malt whiskey, Yoichi single malt achieves a perfect combination, with its delicate peat profile, and the ultimate balance between smoky and fruity.

This premium single malt whiskey reflects the authentic character of its seaside location on Japan’s northernmost island.

There we find salty whiskey, with a smoky and intense character, and of course Yoichi single malt is one of them. This is also helped by aging it in barrels made from former bourbon and sherry.
