With the theme “Become The Most Creative Barista”, the competition is looking for baristas who stand out for their creativity, technical excellence and ability to utilize MONIN products with imagination and professionalism.

Rules, Regulations & Instructions for Participation
General Information
- The competition is open to professional Baristas 18 years of age and older.
- Maximum: 2 contestants per organization/chain/café.
- Participants must work (full-time or part-time) in a café, bar, restaurant or other active catering organisation.
- Registration by 26 September 2025.
General Rules
- Each participant must prepare 4 beverages per test:
- 3 drinks for the judges
- 1 drinks for photography
- Presentation time: 15 minutes / per contestant.
- The use of products from all series available in Europe and Greece is allowed:
Le Sirop de MONIN, Le Fruit de MONIN, Le Frappe de MONIN, Le Sauce de MONIN, Pure by Monin, Monin Liqueur - If MONIN sugar substitutes (agave, honey, cane sugar) are used, they must be combined with a second MONIN product.
- Multiple MONIN products may be used in a single recipe.
Competition Format
1st Round – Espresso + Pure by Monin
- Friday 3 espresso shots
- Combination with Pure by Monin + soda
2nd Round – Milk Beverage
- Preparation of 3 milk-based drinks
- At least 20ml MONIN
- Mandatory 1 espresso shot
3rd Round – Signature Drink
- Here you can improvise and let your imagination create.
- You can use products from the entire MONIN range.
- At least 20ml of MONIN product + 1 espresso shot
- Creating a unique, story-driven coffee experience
Espresso Rules
- The use of at least one (1) espresso shot is mandatory.
- It is defined as follows:
- Extraction from espresso machine with double filter in continuous extraction.
- Volume: 20ml-30ml.
- The extraction time is determined by the contestant.
- Espresso must be extracted during the presentation.
- It can be served hot or cold.
- Use of the provided machine & mill by the organizers.
Equipment & Materials Provided
The organizers provide the Grand Final:
- Espresso machine (2 groups) with 58mm basket & double portafilter
- Espresso Grinder
- MONIN Products
- Coffee beans
Additional Equipment
- The use of up to 2 electronic devices is allowed.
- Additional equipment must be declared to the organizers well in advance of the event.
Coffee
- Coffee calibration should be done within the preparation time (10 minutes).
Ingredients & Materials
- Homemade ingredients are allowed (syrups, infusions, sauces, etc.), as long as they do not compete with or are similar to MONIN products.
- Participants are encouraged to incorporate MONIN into preparations (e.g. infusions, carbocations, coldbrew, molecular, etc.)
- Alcohol allowed: possibility to use any product in The Sky Spirits Company portfolio.
- All ingredients must be safe to consume.
- Toppings: may be prepared in advance and must match the theme of the competition.
Rules of Conduct
- Participants must respect cultural sensitivities.
- Offensive decorations or presentations are prohibited.
- Any participant or presentation deemed inappropriate may result in disqualification.
