Gosling’s Black Seal is aged navy dark rum with a full and balanced flavor. For its preparation, two different types of rums are used, one is rum that is distilled in stills, and the second is rum that is distilled in continuous distillers. This combined with aging creates a premium rum, with notes of butterscotch vanilla and caramel. The nautical rum made from the classic Dark & Stormy cocktail also fits perfectly with classic tiki cocktails, such as Zombie and Mai Tai.

The story of Gosling’s rum begins in 1806, when the son of a wine and drink merchant, James Gosling, set off from England for America, carrying a merchandise worth 10,000 pounds. But, after 90 days of wandering, the ship’s license expired and it was forced to stop at the nearest port, which happened to be Bermuda. That’s how the story of the rum from Bermuda, Gosling’s, began. There the Goslings family began to create different rum blends and within 3 years they launched Old Rum, a dark, full rum preferred by British Navy generals. Later they mixed it with ginger beer and soon, it became famous as the “black seal rum“, the rum for the Dark & Stormy cocktail!
