Made to the same base of recipes since 1821, Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry has long been the benchmark for fine Vermouth. Inventors of the Blanc, Dolin is equally famous for it's very light, pale Dry. In the late 19th century, Dolin won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia. In 1932 Chambéry earned France's only protected designation of origin for Vermouth.
Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry is made of fine wines and includes botanicals found in the Alpine meadows above Chambéry and surrounding regions. Together they impart a fresh and elegant nose, with a subtle and complex palate. Ideal as an aperitif or in cocktails.
Very pale crystalline robe, tinged with gold. Generous, full, intense nose of citrus peel, underscored by menthol and balsamic notes. Aromas of mountain plants linger on finish. Velvety texture with harmonious aromas of almond and fruit pit. Slighyly bitter citrus base underlies and balances this elegant, lively vermouth with subtle persistence.
Brilliant amber robe with glints of copper. Very pleasant nose of fruit compote, prune and walnut, with a slightly grassy note tempered by the spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla and szechwan pepper. On the palate-complex aromas of almond and fruit pit, citrus, pear and cinnamon, with notes of spice cake and tobacco, then violet, oregano and hyssop. a subtle base of bitterness underlies this rich bouquet.
